Some HTC Flyers are flying out of Best Buys on May 20

Despite announcing in a press release earlier today that the HTC Flyer will be exclusively launched in all Best Buy stores this Sunday, May 22, the big box retailer has decided to beat its own release date to the punch.

According to an anonymous source at Engadget, the stores that already have the Wi-Fi-only HTC Flyer tablets in stock are under instruction to move units out the door immediately. So go to BestBuy.com, figure out which store has the slate right now, and get your Flyer before May 22.

    Not choosing Honeycomb was HTC's biggest mistake and it is clearly the future of Android on Tablets! I just see this being a big mistake on their part and they will be at Revision 2 before this thing sells.

    • No Honeycomb is the present. By the time Christmas comes around when

      interest picks up Honeycomb will be old and have a dozen zero day drive bys ripping it apart. If these have built in automatic patching/upgrading then it doesnt matter what version they have, If they donn't then they'll horribly suck no matter which version they have and that's HTC's biggest mistake. If they dont get close to ipad share before W8 tablets come out then it probably wont matter either way.

        @Johnny Vegas Yeah okay... How about some evidence to backup the claims...

        Also, don't know if you noticed but Google has been releasing upgrades and still keeping the name Honeycomb! So even at 3.3 in December it will still be Honeycomb and the drive by attackes won't happen..

        Going even further, do you really think that 2.2 is going to be less open to attack?

      @Peter Perry
      I totally. Thats the reason HTC Flyer was not in my list from the beginning. I would go with ASUS Transformer or G-Slate over HTC Flyer.
