Sony has announced details and the upcoming release of the PlayStation Move motion controllers at the GDC 2010 in San Francisco this week, declaring the controllers will deliver "a motion-based, high-definition gaming experience unlike anything on the market." That's a pretty big promise.

The PlayStation Move controller is supposed to be more accurate in movements thanks to advanced motion sensors. Gamers operate the controls via action buttons and an analog trigger, with the typical shock and rumble treatment from the controller itself.

Sony will also concurrently debut a PlayStation Move sub-controller for use alongside the motion controller for extra navigation of in-game objects.  At least 20 titles will be released in the 2010 that cater specifically to the two new motion controllers.

Then gamers can also combine the controllers with the PlayStation Eye camera for 3D simulation, placing the user "within" the game. All of that together does sound like quite the experience, albeit a bit complicated though.

As of now, there's no information on pricing, and the most specific release date is fall 2010. Until then, you can check out the gaming experience based on this demo video.
