Sony has announced the names of three gaming titles that will be patched with 3D support, starting on June 10. Before you get too excited, it looks like North American buyers will be waiting longer for this innovation.
The three games set for producing some 3D fun are Super Stardust HD, Wipeout HD, and Pain. While the first two will be upgraded for free, Pain players will need to pay up the tiny fee of ¥300 ($3.29) for three-dimensional support.
All of this is timed with roll-out of some new Sony Bravia 3D TVs set to be released on June 10 as well. So new buyers in both Japan and Europe will get all of these titles for free, at least for a limited time. Technically, a fourth title (MotorStorm2) will be included as well, although it’s only a trial version.
No word on when this will all become available in North America yet.
