Sprint may attract iPhone 5 customers with unlimited data

By | September 9, 2011, 9:04am PDT

Summary: In an attempt to make its own version of the iPhone 5 the most attractive, Sprint plans to leverage its unlimited data plan.

Sprint is serious about making its all-too-likely offering of the iPhone 5 an attrative one. Which is why the company doesn’t plan on nixing its unlimited data plan once Apple’s latest phone lands in a few weeks, Bloomberg reports.

Would the move make sense? Considering that neither AT&T nor Verizon offer unlimted data plans anymore, an offer like that from Sprint would be a pretty enticing one, and would without a doubt draw a lot of interest from potential iPhone 5 buyers. Of course, the drawbacks are also clear: With so many people sucking up Sprint’s “unlimited” resouces, how long will it be becore things start getting a bit sluggish? Once that happens, Sprint may find itself in AT&T and Verizon’s shoes and opt to get rid of its unlimited data plans after all.

Of course, there is no confirmation quite yet on whether Sprint is getting the iPhone 5 to begin with, so its best not to get your hopes up quite yet.

Stay with or moving to Sprint with its unlimited Data Plan would be the right way to go if only they cared enough about their current customers to keep their towers in operation instead of letting them die.
Sprint's truly unlimited data plan is the only thing which would make me consider switching to them. It is also the only thing which would keep me there. I don't normally hit the cap on my existing plan, but I like the peace of mind which comes with fixed, predictable monthly expenses.
Can I have a job at ZDNet? I'd like to be able to write nothing but two paragraphs filled with grammatical, syntax and spelling errors and still get paid for it.

Come one... writing is your job here. At least try to make an effort at composing above the level of a third-grader. It's hard to take anyone serious and attach any kind of credibility to someone who refuses to employ even rudimentary proofing measures in their "work."
If Sprint also offer web and talk at the same time like ATT, if so I'll think about switching.
