Gallery: Stuart Hughes offers $8 million iPhone

This isn’t the first time that Hughes has taken the iPhone 4 and made it twinkle with diamonds. But that one was only nearly £15,000 (~$24,000).

Say hello to the Diamond Rose limited edition, priced at staggering £5,000,000 ($7.99 million). What does this new extra-sparkly and extra-costly 32GB smartphone include? Approximately 500 individual flawless, 100 carat diamonds around the sides, plus a rose gold Apple logo with 53 more diamonds. The center navigation button is made up of a single cut 7.4ct pink diamond, which seems more fitting for an engagement ring rather than a smartphone.

Only two have been made, so start bidding now if you have that much change lying around. For a hands-on look at the luxury collection, check out the video below. At least that’s free.

Wasting money because they think the money paid for this phone will magically transport to an alternate universe never to be seen again.

Carats

If "One carat is equal to 0.2 grams" and this phone features "500 individual flawless, 100 carat diamonds around the sides" ... yet the larger diamond on the front is 7.4 carats ... hmm. I think someone misplaced a decimal point, yes?

Even with all the diamonds, it'll still be a sparkly turd.
@cyberslammer: I always appreciate your insightful comments! Or should I say "inciteful"?
@levinson .....still it's a sparkly turd
@cyberslammer
His sparkly turd is a lot prettier than your turd. I would like to have one without having to pay for it.
