FiOS TV subscribers will soon be getting access to a lot of new programming in high-definition quality thanks to a collaboration between Time Warner and Verizon.

Certain customers have already enjoyed the privilege of being able to stream on-demand content from TBS and TNT during a trial program last year. But starting this June, all subscribers will have unlimited access to the on-demand program.

Other networks that Verizon is trying to lure into the program include some big names like CBS, FOX News and MTV, and then some more niche networks like the Hallmark Channel, the Smithsonian Channel, the Tennis Channel. (Did anyone know that there’s a channel dedicated entirely to tennis?!) There’s no official timetable on when programming from these stations will pop up, except that it will be “soon.”

Best of all, access to this service will be free. The catch is that new content from shows like The Closer and Lopez Tonight will become available 24 hours after originally airing.
