Since its debut in January, Toshiba has taken another look at its Qosmio X500 notebook series and granted some welcomed upgrades.

Those updates and additions include the integration of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M graphics processor with 1.5GB of discrete graphics memory. The new GPU grants the power of 3D HD gaming and DirectX 11 support.

Some of the qualities that are staying put are the 18.4-inch HD widescreen, Dolby Home Theater audio with 5.1 surround sound, the Intel Core i5/i7 processor options, the Blu-ray drive and the option of up to 8GB of RAM.

But it looks like there is a lower starting price tag now. Earlier this year, the X500 series started at $1,549. But now it will start at a more budget-friendly cost of 1,299.99.
