Ultimate Ears churns out budget-minded and very expensive noise-canceling headsets

Summary: Ultimate Ears and Capitol Studios have teamed up to produce their new In-Ear Reference Monitors. But with this one’s price tags, only professionals in the music industry need apply.

It’s certainly the day for announcing partnerships on products. Now it’s Ultimate Ears and Capitol Studios with their new In-Ear Reference Monitors. But with this one’s price tags, only professionals in the music industry need apply.

Each monitor hosts three tuned speakers and reproduce frequencies with an wide band response from 5Hz to 18kHz.  Producing up to 32 dB of noise isolation, this in-ear headset is designed for producers and sound engineers in the studio. Users shouldn’t be able to hear any outside noise but rather just the true audio track.

And they surely better with an asking price of $999. If this fits in with your line of work, you can pick up a pair this month.

If not, there’s also a much more budget-friendly option in the form of Ultimate Ears’ 100 Noise-Isolating Earphones. Even though it says “100,” there are only five design options in this collection. But each pair does deliver up to 24 dBs of noise isolation and come with four varying sizes of ear cushions, so hopefully there is something for everyone. Best of all, these will only cost you $19.99 a pop when they debut in the United States and Europe this month.
