Via Verizon, Samsung's iPad-sized Galaxy Tab 10.1 finally has a release date: July 28th

Available in gray, white, and in two sizes (16GB and 32GB) the device will sell for $529 and $629 on a two year contract. Verizon's data plans start at $30 for 2GB, $50 for 5GB, and $80 for 10GB - and you're going to need one of them.

Spec-wise, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 runs Android 3.1, and features a dual-core NVidia Tegra 2 processor, a pair of cameras, and, of course, a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 screen.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1's Thursday release will make it the first tablet available via Verizon to run on the carrier's 4G LTE network - a distinction that was supposed to be carried by Motorola's Xoom months ago. Will the Xoom ever make the move to 4G? At this rate, we may never know. But with the 4G Galaxy Tab 10.1 finally coming, we may not care.
