Verizon issues $25 gift card to customers still waiting for HTC Droid Incredible

Summary: Between an AMOLED shortage and overwhelming (and a bit unexpected) popularity, there are plenty of customers still waiting for the HTC Droid Incredible they ordered. Verizon Wireless is trying to appease them with a $25 gift card. Not a bad start.

Between an AMOLED shortage and overwhelming (and a bit unexpected) popularity, there are plenty of customers still waiting for the HTC Droid Incredible they ordered. Verizon Wireless is trying to appease them with a $25 gift card. Not a bad start.

According to Android Central, this refund will go to anyone who ordered this particular HTC smartphone on or before June 28. The gift card is expected to arrive within the next two weeks, but no word on when the actual Droid Incredible exactly will yet. Sure, there’s a nice form letter too, but everyone really just wants the gift card.

Although, if you’ve already spent a lot of cash on the Droid Incredible, what else are you going to buy at the Verizon store now? Some accessories? Well, at least it looks like you can apply it to that hefty monthly voice/smartphone data plan…

That hefty phone/data plan...

is the reason I'm avoiding any smartphone for at least 2 years. When I can get a plan that gives me unlimited text/data for $30/month I'm in.
