Verizon names next batch of 4G LTE cities

Summary: The South is well-represented in the list of American cities that will soon be 4G-equipped.

The 4G capabilities of Verizon's Charge and Thunderbolt will soon be officially usable in six more American cities. Verizon has announced the latest areas to get the 4G switch on May 19th:

  • Gainsville, FL
  • Pensacola, FL
  • Tallahassee, FL
  • Mobile, AL
  • Montgomery, AL
  • Fayetteville-Lumberton, NC

Verizon is also expanding its already-existing 4G LTE coverage in Denver, Colorado and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The latest locations join the six cities that Verizon introduced in April. The company plans to expand 4G access to 145 cities by the end of the year.

  • Re: Verizon names ... but Richard doesn't

The least you could have done was recap the current cities and provide the list of 145 for later this year.
