The holidays are definitely here again as Virgin America is offering the gift that keeps on giving: free in-flight Wi-Fi.

In partnership with Google Chrome, passengers on all flights from Saturday, November 20 to Sunday, January 2 will be able to access the GoGo Inflight Internet system for free with Wi-Fi-enabled devices. (Except during takeoff and landing times, of course.) Normally, pricing ranges from $4.95 to $12.95 for a one-time flight pass.

That should make traveling this holiday season a little less stressful and a little more enjoyable, especially on those long-haul, cross-country voyages.

[UPDATE: Virgin America isn't alone with this offer, as CNN reports that both Delta Air Lines and AirTran Airways will be offering the same promotion.]

  • "GIFT" is *not* a VERB

What's the deal? Have we all lost our collective vocabulary? Please stop "verbing" the word "gift"! it is a noun!
