Sony PlayStation 3 owners will soon have yet another option for watching movies on their gaming consoles when Vudu pops up on the PlayStation Network on November 23.

Following the path of Netflix and Hulu Plus, Vudu will be bringing its catalog of more than 4,000 HD movies with Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 surround sound for rent. Rentals start at $2 for a two-night rental, and many new releases will pop up on the menu the same day they are released on DVD and/or Blu-ray.

Furthermore, the Internet video streaming app will be spruced up a bit as the new Vudu 2.0 user interface has been unveiled today. Along with the typical design and organizational retouches, Vudu 2.0 will also bring support for motion-based input devices…such as the Sony Move controller. The update is promised before the end of the year, presumably in December.
