Disclosure: I am so proud of my younger, smarter brother. Long ago, he got the Internet in a way that I stubbornly refused to. I preferred to wait for the browser. He didn't wait.
He's not waiting now. Some of the great peers who call him friend say he's nuts. I agree. Nuts like the great explorers. Dan and I, and all of us, are miraculously lucky to live in a time when such a chance is there to be taken. You all know Dan, but few of you knew our father, for whom Dan is named. Or our crazy, brilliant mother, who struggled for perfection with every breath she could take. But those who did know them know what a high bar Dan sets for himself in pursuing the truth as best he sees it.
Here's to my brother, as he shifts jobs but not gears, and URLs but not ideals. Mazeltov.
