No matter what we think about the Resident's Re-election (and I think it bites) the real revolution is going on in the streets. Adam Bosworth leads the charge:

Most of the value today is coming from the community, the reputation, the access to information and goods and services, and the media itself. This ineluctable fact coupled with the driving forces of much faster evolution in response to the natural selection of market needs, much cheaper and easier and more simple user interface, and much better ability to know what can be done better for the customer are all combining.


In a services world, our attention streams of metadata provide a self-correcting and dynamic modeling of our needs and requirements for advancing our interests, routing around the special interests that reinstalled the status quo in Washington.


Now we must recognize that our metadata--the clicks and URL breadcrumbs that signal our votes--must be freed from the tyranny of the Roach Motel strategies of the content incumbents.
