Mihai Parprita, the blogger responsible for persistent.info and employee at Google, has created a greasemonkey script to incorporate your Google Reader feeds into your Gmail.

I'm happy he decided to experiment by giving Gmail tighter integration with Reader, as it's something I have often wished existed.  He cannot comment on Google's plans to officially integrate the two products, but he did say that scripts like this are a quick way to test the waters.

To use the greasemonkey script, perform the following steps as outlined by Mihai:

  1. Install Greasemonkey from http://greasemonkey.mozdev.org/
  2. Restart Firefox.
  3. Click on the script link above [link]
  4. Click on the "Install" button that's displayed in the upper-right corner of the page.
  5. Visit/reload Gmail

You will notice a new link that says "Feeds" that when clicked will display your reading list.  It would be really nice to see an official implementation for this feature, maybe soon we will?
