Google Tags: Now free for 30 days

By | July 21, 2010, 10:24pm PDT

Summary: Last month they launched this service, but likely due to a tepid response, Google is offering business owners 30 days free.

If you own a local business, and you are looking to gain a bit of an edge over your competition, Google says the answer is Google Tags. Last month they launched this service, but likely due to a tepid response, Google is offering business owners 30 days free.

What does it give you? Well, when someone searches for anything relevant to your business — either in their browser at home, or on the go, your listing in Google Maps will be “Tagged”. Tagged items are visually different from the rest, and usually offer up deals or coupons.

Once the trial period of 30 days is over (on July 23rd), you will be charged $25 a month if you don’t cancel. If you decide to give this a shot, I’d be interested to know if it made a difference for your business.

For many reasons, more and more people are opting to retire at an early age. The growing trend for the retirement is based on the fact that people are enticed to retire early than continue working and wait until they reach their retirement age of 65.
