File this one under Law of Unintended Consequences. Everything you do will have some environmental effect you cannot forsee. Decades of antibiotic use and we now have some killer bacteria that are anti-antibiotic. That terrorizes me pretty well. They say the bacteria especialy like us old folks and little kids. And today a study of one such little organism was released. Known affectionately as MRSA, it’s a form of the common, omnipresent staph bacterium that’s evolved immunity to nearly all antibiotics known to man.

The first study of its kind, it comes from the U.S. Center for Disease Control. Now the super-staph, scientifically known as methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (hence MRSA) has a rate of infection in the U.S. of 32 per 100,000 population. It is more than double that among American blacks. And it’s not just making people sick. The study estimate over 18,000 American deaths from MRSA in 2005, fifty percent more than from AIDS. And it’s a disease that moves easily about our environment. Here’s what happened just this week, reported in the “Washington Post”, One teenager died from MRSA: “A Lynch Station, Va., teenager, Ashton Bonds, 17, succumbed to MRSA, prompting officials to shut down 21 Bedford County schools tomorrow for cleaning to prevent further infections. The infection had spread to Bonds’ kidneys, liver, lungs and the muscle around his heart.”

If the drugs have stopped working, it may be time for a different tech approach. Isn’t there some way to zap these bacteria? Or to completely sterilize surfaces, air, etc. Would you confidently send your kid back into the schools in Lynch Station after a thorough cleansing with 409 and Lysol? Sounds like those old 1950s training films where they suggested you take a good shower after each atomic attack. Meanwhile, the medics are going to continue to seek an anti-staph vaccine.
Of course, your chance for catching MRSA is much higher in a hospital because that’s were its victims tend to be collected together and there’s evidently no sure way to get rid of the lurking MRSA bacteria. Is that a business opportunity or what?

There has been more development in MMS, They now mix Sodium Chlorite with 50% citric acid -drop for drop of liquid 50% citric acid, them put 1 fl oz of both into a small bottle and a hose to another bottle of distilled water and force the mixture into the water. This makes CDS Chlorine Dioxide Solution. and then there is no acid or bad taste.

Novel Antibiotics
Micro4Ever 17th Oct 2007
MRSA is a real problem. I work in a microbiology lab with a researcher who takes
a particular interest in novel antibiotics, and have taken quite an interest in these
little critters. I have learned alot from him but the one thing that sticks out in my
mind is this, There will never be a "cure-all" antibiotic because of one of the
biggest debates out there, Evolution. Like it or not evolution exists and it is the
biggest problem with microbes. They seem to evolve just as fast as we can find
cures to the desieses they cause. This is because they mutate at a very fast rate
(Ecoli can double its numbers in 20 minutes under good conditions). Each time
these microbes reproduce they have the chance to mutate their genomes, if they
mutate in just the right way they may develop new ways of combating our
antibiotics, and therefore become resistant. In the hospital setting or other
antibiotic settings these things "win out" over other non resistant strains and
therefore survive and reproduce. Novel antibiotics are the one thing we have
going for us, we are reasearching ways to attack their reproduction processes,
their transcription/translation processses, and so on and so forth, it will only be a
matter of time before the next great antibiotic comes out. The real problem
comes with the MD's who prescribe these things. Just the other day another of my
professors kids was diagnosed with an ear infection. 99% of ear infections are
viral, but what did the doctor prescribe? An antibiotic, which will do nothing for a
virus. This is the real problem, because now we are seeing that the bacteria that
DO cause ear infections are becoming resistant to our child antibiotics. So what
now? When we find the next big antibiotic we need to stop the doctors from just
handing it out, especially when it will do NOTHING for the disease being
diagnosed.

MRSA: A Silver Bullet
bradbrenner 17th Oct 2007
Those concerned with MRSA might be interested in learning that while this "superbug" is resistant to many commonly used antibiotics, it is not resistant to silver! Many don't realize that ionic silver is a very effective antimicrobial used throughout the medical community in infection control and wound care products such as bandages, wound dressings, and medical device treatments.

One of the nice things about antimicrobial silver is that, unlike antibiotics, it does not lose its effectiveness due to the development of resistant bacteria strains. Because of the way silver works to fight infections, bacteria cannot build up resistance no matter how often it is used.

There are a variety of silver antimicrobial products on the market today. I am familiar with a company that makes a silver antimicrobial gel. Placed on cuts and scratches (a common entry point for MRSA) it offers a first line defense against MRSA and other infection-causing bacteria. The company has also developed a breakthrough silver antimicrobial nanotechnology that is used to treat medical devices (another common conduit for bacteria).

I find it fascinating that a common remedy used by Ancient Romans has re-emerged as a highly effective infection-fighting agent used by the 21 Century medical community. While washing hands and cleaning surfaces remains a critical component to thwarting the spread of MRSA, the use of woundcare products that contain antimicrobial silver could play an instrumental role in stopping the superbug before it even enters the bloodstream.
Silver is only effective against MRSA if it's used topically on a cut, scrape, or burn (http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/27431.php). Once MRSA is in your system, silver is useless.
MRSA has been a known problem since the 1960's and has continued to grow. In the 60's MRSA accounted for approximately 2% of Hospital Acquired Infections (HAIs), but today accounts for almost 70%! The key here is prevention. If we practice good hand washing hygiene, suppliment with the use ethyl alcohol-based hand sanitizers and properly disinfect and treat high-risk areas, we won't need to worry about finding new antibiotics.

While it is true that silver won't help once you have the infection internally, it is a potent weapon in preventing the growth of harmful microorganisms on treated surfaces. As previously mentioned, the use of silver has been around for quite some time - think silverware, silver goblets, Creed's sivler nitrate profalaxis for babies eyes - and is quite safe.

There is a company called CHG that makes an antimicrobial coating utilizing a silver-ion based technology called SANIGUARD. It can be cost effectively be applied to many surfaces in schools, gyms, hospitals, cruise ships and other areas prone to the spread of infections. The silver disrupts the metabolic and reproductive cycles of the microbes, thus preventing their growth. The best part is that the bacteria, viruses and odor-causing molds and mildews cannot mutate to overcome the efficacy of the silver and...the protection lasts for the life of the product!

Remember...an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! You can find out more about SANIGUARD and silver ion technology by visiting the company's web site: www.saniguard-online.com.
Nationwide staph seems to be coinciding with nationwide sewer/water infrastructure upgrades. Here in Fresno, CA, something else has been accompanying this so-called "upgrade." Illegal altering of sewer lines - massive raw sewage back spills that our Dept. of Public Works is lying about and covering up. See the page I created:

Man claims colloidal silver cured his MRSA infection

Mans claims colloidal silver cured his MRSA infection...
http://www.northantset.co.uk/675/Man39s-MRSA-cure-claims.941888.jp

An elderly man who lived with a potentially lethal infection for two years claims he has cleared himself of the illness with colloidal silver.

David Sharman, 82, was infected with superbug MRSA in June, 2001, but believes determination and a regular dose of colloidal silver has helped him beat the infection.

He said: "There are so many terrible stories about MRSA in the news, but people seem to just talk about it and are not doing anything.

"I started to use colloidal silver and, after almost two years living with the infection and having regular check-ups, I was told I was clear."

Mr Sharman, of Exmouth Avenue, Corby, claims he contracted MRSA after a series of hip operations at Kettering General Hospital during 2001.

He said: "The wound on my hip became infected and the hospital informed me that I had MRSA before I was discharged for rehabilitation.

"I was determined to help myself and began using colloidal silver directly on my wound daily."

Colloidal silver is a liquid commonly used before the 1930s as an antibiotic treatment and is available at health food shops.
It works by attaching itself to a vital enzyme found in bacteria and disabling the offending pathogen, preventing it from reproducing.

Mr Sharman, who has three children Richard, 22, William, 20, and Sarah, 18, with wife Denise, said: "I could feel myself slowly getting better and the day I got the all-clear, just before Christmas 2003, was an extremely happy day for the whole family.

"Getting MRSA doesn't have to mean it is the end of the road and I really believe colloidal silver helped me."

Dr Richard Slack is a microbiologist based in Nottingham who works in infection control.

He said: "The silver is quite a good antibiotic used in burns units because it does kill MRSA and other bacteria that cause wound infections.

"There is absolutely a possibility that this has been beneficial to Mr Sharman."

Sure could be bioterrorism
themarla 5th Feb 2008
If the so-called "infrastructure upgrade" in Fresno, CA is an example of how it is being carried out across the nation, it is likely the cause behind nationwide staph (MRSA) infections. Possibly even terrorism - what better way to wipe out a nation than by connecting of pipes. Not only carried out right under our noses but paid for by US dollars.
The heavy equipment blocks the view to all of the sewage discharges as lines are being illegally altered and haphazardly clamped back together. Damages and reconstruction to connecting properties, leaving a city setting on top of clamped lines. Floors drilled out in order to alter sewer/water lines, which property owners are not aware of. Residents lied to about the cause, as they are infected with raw sewage discharges. In some cases, residents run off their property - never seen again; forged deeds.
Keep in mind that various pathogens from raw sewage, including deadly MRSA, are airborne - imagine what is seeping through these clamped lines and into our homes. City of Fresno refuses to address the issue with more than lies, threats, name-calling - going as far as committing perjury to discredit their own records, which verify exactly what is taking place. The trail of lung/illness, infections, death speaks for itself. In reaction to the increase in MRSA, city officials increased medical benefits for themselves while instructing the public to "wash our hands."
As a matter of interest, with structures throughout town now entailing clamped lines, this is also how mold lawsuits and insurance claims are carried out - simply loosening the clamps.
There is a product that kills the MRSA bug, and I have been taking it for 18 months now. It is Chlorine Dioxide, it has been approved by the EPA to be used to sterilize hospitals or wherever MRSA is found.

The product Is really Sodium Chlorite and when mixed with Citric acid, it is then Chlorine dioxide and it is consumable. I have not even had a cold since I have been taking it.It is used in water treatment systems
You can read all about it on my website blog under (MMS)

When mixing with citric acid , you use 1 drop MMS and 5 drops of C.A. Wait 3 min for activation and then dilute with water or juice without Vitamin C and drink.
Always mix 5-1 ratio with Citric acid liquid
There has been more development in MMS, They now mix Sodium Chlorite with 50% citric acid -drop for drop of liquid 50% citric acid, them put 1 fl oz of both into a small bottle and a hose to another bottle of distilled water and force the mixture into the water.
