Locus Technologies, which is one of the companies that provides software for managing and acting on your company's environmental stats, has gotten the greenlight to provide greenhouse gas emissions verification services by the California Air Resources Board. This is important because under the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006, certain facilities will be required to submit to MANDATORY reporting and verification of their carbon footprint starting next year (for this year's emissions). Depending on the sort of facility involved, companies will need to invest in annual or triennial (there's a word!) verification.
