I don't see the point of Nightwatchman for Mac users.
1E, one of the more aggressive software companies in the power management space, has released a version of its NightWatchman software for Apple’s Macintosh operating system.
The application allows you to control when power saving features are switched on and off, without affecting the productivity of the people using the systems. The big deal is that administrators can now manage both Mac and Windows systems together from the same console, according to the company.
The company says the new software will help shore up its competitive position in early adopter corporate environments that have embraced the Mac, as well as in education accounts and creative businesses. The release meets requirements for the Common Criteria for IT Security Assurance; it works on Intel-based Macs, which is a bummer for people like me who have some older equipment, but it’s a start. It supports Mac OS X 10.5.8, 10.6.2 and 10.6.3 operating systems.
