Heavier taxes on auto fuel and air travel produced a even split: 46% against and 45% in favor. More than two-thirds of respondents said air passenger prices would have to be triple to reduce air travel.

  • energy and politics...DUH!!

Has it occured to anyone that whenever election period closes in, energy prices fall and politicians focus their sales pitch on taxes, incentives and "equal justice for all"? Whether in the United State or Great Britain (I was born in Lancashire, England so I have a royal British bashing pass ;-), politicians are all the same. Thats why they shouldn't be trusted, they simply follow the money trail.
