Two execs with serious pedigrees launch mobile phone recycling venture

If you're in the market for a new mobile phone, don't fret about how to get rid of the old one. Two former big-name CEOs from the mobile and consumer electronics worlds (former pooh-bahs of Radio Shack and Sprint) have apparently teamed up to create a company dedicated to recycling your cast-off.

If you're in the market for a new mobile phone, don't fret about how to get rid of the old one. Two former big-name CEOs from the mobile and consumer electronics worlds (former pooh-bahs of Radio Shack and Sprint) have apparently teamed up to create a company dedicated to recycling your cast-off. Several news reports about the new organization, called eRecyclingCorps, were published out of the big CTIA wireless show. Here's the take from TreeHugger, which reports that the new venture will work directly with carriers' retail stores in order to organize trade-ins and give consumers a credit toward a new phone.
