Anyone want to take a stab at what Apple means by this:

I've got no idea. Or, more specifically, all I've got are ideas. Here are some likely suspects:

  • iOS 4.2
  • New iTunes
  • Streaming iTunes
  • Subscription service
  • Apps for AppleTV
  • An iTunes that doesn't bog down my PC
  • The Beatles on iTunes

Ideas?

Perhaps all of the above? Or maybe the NC data center goes "on line".

  • Must be something pretty big...

if we'll "never forget" it. I don't think a new version of iTunes quite fits!

I can't forget how much I hate the current version of iTunes, so, maybe it does!

Apple admits that Ping sucks and they are discontinuing it.
Or
Apple releases an iTunes Lite, which takes all the bloat out of that application.

    • Oh we can only hope!

I'm always surprised when I agree with you, but this would be phenomenal.

Won't happen, but it would be nice!

@Loverock Davidson Both of those would be really nice - especially getting rid of that Ping crap.

My guess is, The Beatles are finally coming to iTunes! "Just Another Day" is the clue. Hope I'm right!

    • They could be . . .

      @garydoty

Announcing the sale of "Gone with the Wind" . . . :)

(I mean, if "Just another Day" is your clue . . .)

Seriously, though, I don't think they'd go to all this trouble just to tell everyone that they've added the Beatles catalog to iTunes. That'd be big news, but it's not "Stop The Presses" scale big.

I'm leaning towards a Windows iTunes revamp, myself.

@garydoty That's what the Wall Street Journal thought would be announced today. It would be a major big deal.
