If you've been reading my blogging buddy Jason Perlow's 'Tech Broiler' blog here on ZDNet (and you should, he's a smart guy, and reading his blog will make you smarter - or your money back!) then you'll know that he has a bit of a thing for G-Form shock absorbing cases for the iPad (which he showed surviving a hit from a bowling ball and then a drop from 500 feet) and the MacBook Pro (which easily survived a 20 foot drop). Pretty good stuff.
Petty cool stuff. But many of you have been asking me about ways to protect your fragile iPhone 4 from damage. After all, this puppy has two glass faces to smash as opposed to the one face which is all that most smartphone owners have to worry about.
Well, I suppose you could shove it into a G-Form iPad case. Hardly aesthetic or practical, but it would undoubtedly work ... until you took the handset out.
So, what's a better way to protect your iPhone 4? Well, as far as I'm concerned the toughest, most robust iPhone 4 case on the market is the Griffin Survivor.
How rugged is this case? Check this out:
The iPhone does break in the end, but I encourage you to watch and find out just how it is broken. Sure, it's massive, and adds a hell of a lot of bulk to the iPhone, but if you need a high degree of protection (and you don't give a rat's ass what your phone looks like!), hen this is the case for you!
