A couple of images claiming to be leaked slides have been posted onto the XtremeSystems forum that allegedly detail NVIDIA's upcoming GTX 590 offering.

Here are the slides:

That power consumption of 365W is lower than numbers I've seen for AMD's HD 6990 which are around 435W. It'll be interesting to see if this is a) accurate, and b) going to mean that the 590 GTX won't be able to take the crown from the HD 6990.

  • To "take the crown" from AMD 6690 this device has to consume way more than

6690; and this is not going to happen since that level of consumption is totally off the wall.

So 590 will be either around the same as 6990 or marginally better.

On the positive side you get a space heater thrown in for free!

yea, but what's the price going to be? Im running a GTS250 right now and the thing sounds like a jet engine. It's a mid-high vid card that takes care of business and doesn't make my wallet sad. if the GTX590 going to be worth it?

@KBot: No: the card is for extreme gamers and very few applications like BMD DaVinci that rely on GPUs to do massive image processing. Definitely not for everyday use.

What a waste of money, energy, and time.

there is a no contest here. nVidia always owns ATI! Why you think that Ati releases 3-5 cards a year in the same series. That's right they have to in order to keep up. They don't want to release models that are behind before they are half done. look at the history as I always sad about nVidia. there cards always hold there own in the market. nvidia Cards 2 years back still compete with ATI's new stuff.

There is no reason to believe that ATI has smartened up, after all why would they, they have all these just get my games to work users who don't care about stability, so why should they change. Keep it cheap, move after nVidia on the performance, then play catch up every 5 months.

also you kids who support ATI, well so what your Trashy Video Cards have direct linking to the CPU with Dedicated graphics support on the CHIP, well remember nVidia Created that technology with HyBrid graphics first, and even if that lame iCore Chips doesn't 100% support the nvidia Chipset, it also doesn't work with ATI well, then there is the AMD 6 Core Chips, I feel bad about that one actually, but then I guess it is time to switch.

With the Support for Cell Micro processing in Windows 7 now, and Native support in the Coming version of Windows 8 who cares about this integrated solution in Intel and AMD, nVidia Systems as promised 7 years ago is a reality now. We have seen them in our phones, and our tablets, now Gaming in cell Processing is happening, and AMD and Intel are not gonna be able to truly compete! nVidia integration is around the corner Fellas, and after that ATI won't matter anymore. ATI/AMD will go back to the budget market. I will miss AMD, you did well, but then again, AMD might be able to hold on while Intel Switches to MAC!!

Ya, project Denver I beleive it is currently named. This is going to be awsome when it launches. I hope they launch a power house right off the bat and knock the ball outside of the parking lot Vs. just starting with a mid range cpu to see how the public reacts to it.
