Less than a week after posting Q3 results, Intel has cut the price of a range of its desktop and server processors.

Note: Once again, if you are hoping for the Core 2 Extreme processors to come down in price, you're outta luck.

Note: All prices per 1,000 units. Street prices will be higher.

Desktop:

  • Q8200 (2.33GHz, 4MB L2, 1,333MHz FSB, 45nm): Was: $224 | Now: $193 | Down: 14%
  • Q6600 (2.66GHz, 8MB L2, 1,066MHz FSB, 65nm): Was: $193 | Now: $183 | Down: 5%
  • E7300 (2.66GHz, 3MB L2, 1,066MHz FSB, 45nm): Was: $133 | Now: $113 | Down: 15%
  • E2220 (2.40GHz, 1B L2, 800MHz FSB, 65nm): Was: $84 | Now: $74 | Down: 12%
  • E2200 (2.20GHz, 1B L2, 800MHz FSB, 65nm): Was: $74 | Now: $64 | Down: 14%

Server:

  • X3220 (2.40GHz, 8MB L2, 1,066MHz FSB, 65nm): Was: $198 | Now: $188 | Down: 5%
