Days following a lawsuit fired by Apple at Samsung, Samsung now responds with a lawsuit of its own.

In the lawsuit, filed in in South Korea, Japan and Germany, claims that Apple has infringed on five of Samsung's patents.

In a statement Samsung had this to say:

"Samsung is responding actively to the legal action taken against us in order to protect our intellectual property."

Where will this end up? No idea, but it is important to note that Samsung is a major supplier of components and LCD screens to Apple, so this legal action could end up having repurcussions that go beyond this legal action.
