Software bug in NVIDIA 196.21 WHQL drivers disables overclocking

Yesterday Expreview ran some tests and reported that the latest driver killed off support for the following utilities:
- RivaTuner V2.24C
- EVGA Precision V1.9.0
- Galaxy MagicPanel HD
NVIDIA has confirmed to Tom's Hardware that this is indeed a bug with the drivers and that it is working on a new driver package.
So, in the meantime, steer clear of NVIDIA's 196.21 WHQL drivers if you like to overclock your hardware.
