Steve Jobs to headline WWDC keynote, iOS 5 and iCloud inbound

By | May 31, 2011, 5:49am PDT

Summary: Apple has confirmed that CEO Steve Jobs, backed by his team of execs, will headline the keynote speech at WWDC this year.

Apple has confirmed that CEO Steve Jobs, backed by his team of execs, will headline the keynote speech at WWDC this year.

Apple has also listed what’s on the agenda:

  • Mac OS X 10.7 ’Lion’
  • iOS 5
  • iCloud

It seems that there’s no new hardware incoming, but Apple hopes that new software, especially if that’s announced by Jobs, will more than make up for the fact that there’s no new iPhone.

While there will be over 100 technical sessions at WWDC, and plenty of time for developers and Apple engineers to have face-to-face time, it is the keynote that attracts the most attention.
