Rich people can hang $4,000 IntelliTunes digital jukebox on their walls

By | October 8, 2008, 6:46pm PDT

This one may be just for the Lehman Brothers and AIG execs of the world, because I’m not sure anyone else can afford Game Cabinets’ new $3,995 Intellitunes digital jukebox in this economy.

Game Cabinets Intellitunes digital jukeboxWhat do you get for all that money? The wall-mountable unit sports two separate LCD displays—an 8-inch one that displays color and light patterns that change according to a song’s beat, and a 15-inch touch screen that lets you control playback—as well as specs that read like those for a budget PC, including a 2.4GHz AMD processor, 1GB of RAM, 320GB hard drive, and a DVD drive. The DVD drive lets you rip tracks from your CD collection to Intellitunes, while the included wireless adapter lets you listen to Internet radio (though apparently it doesn’t stream music from a PC’s jukebox software). Also included are a (wired) keyboard and mouse, along with a wall mount and the ubiquitous input port for iPods or other MP3 players.

To accompany the upper display’s light show, LED-backlight windows on the unit can flash seven different colors to annoy delight listeners. Intellitunes contains a 360-watt amplifier, but you’ll need to provide external speakers to get the party started. Lazy fish lovers will appreciate that the displays can double as virtual aquariums when the music isn’t pumping. Since you’ll have dropped so much on the jukebox already, you’ll want to grab optional add-ons like a remote control, 1TB hard drive upgrade, karaoke kit, and custom engraving. Just before the mortgage company forecloses on your house.

I understand my new Samsung 46 inch LCD 750 model
supports Adobe/Shockwave (not clear if flash or director) so
that's why I'm asking, thanks again!

be done as an Internet Music-On-Demand Radio play-
through on IntelliTunes? Thanks.
