Video of BlackBerry Storm 3 leaks to web; codename 'Monaco'
Summary: A video of the BlackBerry Storm 3, codenamed 'Monaco', has leaked to the web. Could this revitalise the BlackBerry market and tempt consumers away from the iPhone and HTC?
The specifications of the upcoming BlackBerry Storm 3 has leaked to the web.
The feature set of the device, codename 'Monaco', includes a 1Ghz processor, 8GB of internal storage, and LTE support, the next-generation 4G mobile network which supports faster mobile broadband speeds
It is also supposed to run its own specific operating system, that could branch away from BlackBerry OS altogether and share the same software as the BlackBerry PlayBook. This is on the day that the PlayBook was reported to be able to run Android applications on top of the existing tablet operating system.
While not much is known about the Storm 3 yet besides its codename, the device takes on the same compact 'iPhone' like look as the Storm 2 with a high resolution 800x480 pixel screen, but includes an optical trackpad that all modern Curve, Bold and Torch devices have.
It is rumoured that the Storm 3 will be sold on T-Mobile and Verizon. At this stage, Verizon is most likely as it has the LTE infrastructure in place in North America.
According to V3, the Storm 3 will also boast a 5 megapixel camera with 720p recording, and thus presumably playback also. Set to ship in September this year, it will be in time for both the Thanksgiving and Christmas period.

Zack, do you know what the word "boast" means?
As to BBS3 demo, it looks like the device is somewhat lagging for now.

Too bad the Storm 1 flopped so badly, RIM had a real chance back then to compete head to head with the iPhone. Especially with being on the Verizon network with the iPhone stuck on AT&T.
Rim lost it over a year ago...
