Windows 7 (7057) has twenty-six new logon and logoff sounds
Summary: Maybe I'm just being a "tad slow" today but I've only just realised with my new theme on Windows 7 also has new sounds too. After some digging and searching, I found a whole bunch of new logon and logoff sounds, as well as entire sets of system sounds.

I'm going to stop writing about Windows 7 for a while - it's a great operating system, but writing about it is starting to grate on me a little bit.
Updated: title, build is 7057 not 7056.

that is exactly what we need in the new OS

RE: Windows 7 (7056) has twenty-six new logon and logoff sounds
1) Pictures in Paintshop Pro X2 printed in 7000; they do not in 7057
2) Why has MS removed the function whereby one can reduce the size of the Desktop picture? It was in 7000 it is not in 7057.
I only installed 7057 last night...

Make an operating system that's fast, lean, easy on memory and disk space, and cheap. I'm not interested in a bloated, whale loaded down with useless, memory hogging digital bling.
Maybe an new version of Windows 2000 might be a good idea.
RE: Windows 7 (7056) has twenty-six new logon and logoff sounds
Is that all?
I have Ultimate 7600 and I love it, but if that's all thats been added, there's no point in an upgrade...
As for you all saying this and that, you CAN delete the system sounds you know. You can delete a lot more than you would imagine actually.
Yes, when I install Win7 a-fresh, I spend about 1-2 hours ripping all the crap out for full blown power (64 bit) but really? What difference does it make when desktops come with hundreds of gigabytes (some even with terabytes) of storage, or solid state. If you users are concerned about Win7 and it's efficiency lagging because of some sounds playing, you REALLY need to upgrade your entire systems entirely.
There's space for it these days so it's there. No space?
Get an external HD, either SSD for reliability and speed or HDD for shear storage space. No one complains when Macintosh adds bullshit to their OS. Well except me...
