Colleague Anne Broache writes that an AT&T-owned store at Times Square in Midtown Manhattan is taking a mailing list for hopeful iPhone buyers.

Thus far there are 100 people on the list.

Anne asked a store employee whether being on that list would guarantee priority for buying an iPhone.

"It depends how accessible you make yourself," the employee said. "I'm going to call you. If you're here, you'll get it."

  • iPhone, just not worth the risk

What? Oh, try to replace the battery on one of those puppies.

You'll mar the finish and possibly break the glass trying to open it with a hammer and chisel.

The Nokia N95 comes with a convenient 'lid' that you can open and pop in any SIM and battery. Just pop the lid back in when done.

    No hammer and chisel required.

    • I agree N95 looks much better

      and is more practical.

Heck, my current phone has 3G and the keyboard is no problem to use...and you can replace the battery.

  • iphone isnt worth it

In my personal opinion iphone isnt really worth it. Getting a non-3G phone at this stage is the most stupid thing u will ever do. When everyone is moving towards future, iphone is lagging behind with no-3g, the biggest drawback of iphone.

iphone is good for myspace teens besides that it has no future :-)
