Mrn of iPod Touch Mods reports that hacker eok has managed to make the Nintendo DS-based SIP app from Samuel run on the iPod Touch. eok wrote:

hi folks... recieving calls is also confirmed.

12:57:57.091 pjsua_app.c Call 0 state changed to INCOMING 12:57:57.092 pjsua_app.c Incoming call for account 0! From: "Cxxxxxxx Txxxx" xxxxxxxx@xx.xxx.xx.xx> To: xxxx@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx> Press a to answer or h to reject call

You have 1 active call Current call id=0 to "Cxxxx Txxxx" 0xxxxxx@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx> [INCOMING]

eok then posts an update in which he clarifies what I call the "almost there" state of affairs:

to get things clear... we are able to communicate with the sip server. signaling calls in and out... but at this moment no sound (in or out) is involved! samuel used sound "Null Devices" for the start. this is a logical step, since if you put in to many things at one time you never know which part makes problems if there are any. so "sip-communication" is working.

Yea, considering that the "V" in VoIP stands for "voice," sound would help, eok, dude.
