Q2 2005 mobile phone production is projected to be 180.5 mln units, up 4% from 173 mln units in Q1 2005, and up 7.1% from Q2 2004. Q3 2005 shipments are projected to rise 5.3% sequentially to 190 mln, and Q4 2005 shipments will rise another 8.4% to 206 mln. After rising 25% in 2004, mobile-phone unit production growth will taper off to 5% in 2005, reaching 750 mln units in 2005 compared to 713 mln in 2004, according to iSuppli.
