Google v. Microsoft: Win for IE 7

Internet Explorer 7 preserves the user's existing search engine default or else uses MSN Search if no default has been set. As Microsoft's implementation of the search feature respects users' and OEM's default choices and is easily changed, Plaintiffs have concluded their work on this matter.

Digital inroads at upfronts

The major broadcast networks convene in NYC this week to preview their fall progamming to advertisers with the goal of pre-booking upwards of $9 billion in commitments for the upcoming season. The high-stakes entertainment marketplace is an annual ritual of commerce and creativity where content is, generally, king. This year, however, distribution strategies for the content will play an upfront role in the upfront negotiations.

Criminal mashup

Venture capital funded real estate mashup sites, such as Zillow.com and Trulia.com, are unlikely to incorporate the type of neighborhood information mapped at citizen mashup site, phillycrime.org. The site describes itself as “a non-profit, freely browsable database of crimes reported in Philadelphia."
