Microsoft TechEd 2011: My top 10 slides from Microsoft's IT conference
Microsoft's TechEd 2011 conference, a gathering of close to 10,000 IT professionals and developers, is over. The slides and videos from the hundreds of talks are still in the process of being published, and are available to anyone (whether you went to this week's show or not) to check out.
But I found some good architectural diagrams, roadmaps and explainers in my perusing. I've pulled out my top 10 slides from TechEd -- adding my annotations -- and organized them in slideshow form.

There wasn't a whole lot of news at TechEd this week, as BlueBadgeInsights' Andrew Brust notes in his TechEd overview blog post. (I can't help but think Microsoft intended to be able to announce the release to manufacturing of its Visual Studio LightSwitch tool and the third tech preview of its SQL Server "Denali" release at the conference, but didn't quite make it to the finish line in time....) Maybe that's why some of the rumors got a lot of play (like the one about Microsoft open-sourcing Visual Basic 6, which the Softies are saying is not in the plans).
