Mix 10 Day 1 Liveblog: Windows Phone 7 developer platform to be revealed

Summary: The Microsoft Mix 10 conference kicks off on March 15 at 9 a.m. PT. Join a bunch of us Microsoft bloggers who will be covering and commenting on the event, where Microsoft is expected to detail more of its Windows Phone 7 developer platform story.

On March 15, Microsoft will kick off its Mix 10 conference in Las Vegas with a look at the Windows Phone 7 developer platform.

The company has shared a few tidbits so far about what to expect. On the game-development side, the Softies are offering developers the just-released XNA Game Studio 4.0 toolset. This week, the Softies are expected to add Silverlight and Expression Blend to its next-gen mobile development story.

Scott Guthrie, corporate vice president of the .NET Developer Division, Bill Buxton, principal researcher for Microsoft Research, and Joe Belfiore, corporate vice president of Windows Phone Program Management are on the docket.

PLEASE tell the people at "Scribble LIVE" to have
the sound turned off by default. It was REALLY
ANNOYING having to hunt down this tab and their
application to try to fix the strange noise I was
getting.

Poor coverage

So far, I really dislike the coverage that ZDNet has done for this event. It's jumbled around, low quality and frankly quite bad.
