This holiday season, instead of reaching for a scissor when you have to open up new packages, grab the Open It. The Open It does what its name suggests: it opens up just about anything. The tool itself features scissor-like cutting jaws, a slicer, removable screwdriver, and a bottle cap opener.

I've been using one for about two years now, and I keep it in my home office for opening up packages of just about any shape and size. I mostly use the cutting jaws and slicer, but you can get plenty of use out of all of the integrated tools. This year's version also includes some caps to keep the sharper pieces of the tool concealed until you need them. I've given the Open It to family and friends for gifts for father's day, mother's day, and birthdays, so this is a great tool for yourself or for others, too.

The Zibra Open It is priced right for just about anyone, selling for $9.99 currently online at EnjoyZibra.com, and at Walmart, Bed Bath and Beyond, and others.
