The Mobile Gadgeteer

Matthew Miller & Joel Evans

Welcome to our newest Mobile Gadgeteer, Joel Evans

By | January 5, 2010, 4:43am PST

Summary: I kicked off this blog in May of 2006 and have been trying to keep writing here and on the Smartphones & Cell Phones blog regularly to keep you updated with the latest news and reviews, but it is tough with a full time job too. Thankfully, ZDNet was kind enough to let me bring in a co-author to this blog who will be offering a different perspective and more in-depth analysis of the mobile landscape and I couldn’t be happier. I started writing online for Geek.com in 2001 thanks to my friend Joel Evans giving me the chance to publish articles for his site. I am now pleased to have Joel joining me here on the ZDNet blog network and look forward to reading his articles and working with him on The Mobile Gadgeteer.

Joel has agreed to join me in presenting the readers of this blog with not only the latest gadget news, but also providing industry-based analysis on the mobile gadgets of today and the future. Joel brings more than a decade of mobile and wireless expertise, through his work on Geek.com and also consulting practice which has included advising clients like GTECH, Microsoft and others in what the future will bring and how to plan for and leverage it.

Look for Joel to focus more on why the technology matters to you and less on just what’s new and exciting. Joel’s specialty is evaluating the latest technology and trends and helping people understand why they are transformational.

Please welcome Joel to ZDNet and stay tuned for his first post.
