Acer is not the first brand you may think of when you think tablet, but the company is moving to reward those who do. The entire line of Acer Iconia Tabs will be getting Android 4.0, aka Ice Cream Sandwich, starting with the A200 which is getting an OTA update now.

The A100 and A500 will both get ICS updates in April, bringing the line up-to-date with Android. The A100 was the first 7-inch Android tablet to ship with Honeycomb, the first version of Android optimized for tablets. The Acer line of tablets is not the most powerful, but are budget-friendly devices with plenty of features for the money. It is good to see Acer move quickly to get ICS on its tablet line, something other OEMs are being slow to do.
