Novatel 4G LTE MiFi

Verizon's 4G LTE network is the fastest way to get data while mobile, but only via USB modems or external hotspot devices. That should change soon as Novatel has produced the first embedded module to get certified by Verizon for its 4G network. The embeddable module by Novatel, makers of the 4G LTE MiFi I reviewed previously, can be used in laptops and presumably tablets for Verizon.

The Novatel embedded solution retains the utility of its MiFi by offering backward compatibility with 2G/3G networks when out of a 4G area. The module is designed to be power and heat efficient for use in highly mobile devices. There is no word from Verizon when we might see a laptop or tablet with 4G inside.
