Gateway ID47 notebook: 14-inch screen in 13-inch body

Summary: Gateway is using unique technology to put a 14-inch monitor in the 13-inch ID47 notebook.

Small and thin notebooks are all the rage, and Gateway has introduced the ID47 which takes a unique approach to packing more in a small footprint. The ID47 uses edge-to-edge screen technology to put a 14-inch display in the same case that normally houses a 13.3-inch screen. The end result is a small notebook with the biggest display in its class.

The ID47 boasts a second generation Intel Core processor, and despite its thin form an integrated DVD drive. The notebook is now available at retailers starting at $699.99.

Good day to confirm this comment I would appreciate T h e b e s t o f Z D N e t d e l i v e r e d your website very nice to everyone Yes, Oracle is the only one with shared-disk architecture, but that is there advantage. It means you can add or remove nodes and the database lives on. In a shared nothing architecture, if you lose a node, you lose the system.
