Angry Birds fans, and you know who you are, who have been playing around those annoying on-screen ads on our Android device can soon get your wallet out and get rid of them. Rovio Mobile is confirming that a paid version of the game will be introduced for the Android platform soon. The new version will most likely be released with the next version of Angry Birds, Rio.

The game has only been available on the Android platform in an ad-supported version. The ads appear after a while in the upper portion of the screen, and can sometimes interfere with gameplay on phones with smaller displays. The paid version will get rid of all ads.

Who still plays this crap? Cestos 2 is way better, plus multiplayer.

  • What ads?

I just block the ad servers in the hosts file. Problem solved.
