If you use the TripIt online tracking service to handle your travels, you should be aware the company behind the service has been acquired. Concur has announced the acquisition of TripIt for a package worth $120 million, and has not stated its future plans for the service or how it will impact current users.

I have used TripIt to handle my travel for a long time, and will miss it if it goes away or changes a great deal. The beauty of the TripIt service is how easy it is to use, with detailed travel plans entered into the service automatically by simply forwarding flight and hotel confirmation emails to a special TripIt email address. The service intelligently interprets the confirmation emails to correctly enter complicated travel arrangements into the user’s online schedule. TripIt has mobile versions of its tracking app on major smartphone platforms, putting travel tracking a simple tap away,
