Robin (Roblimo) Miller's latest book is Point and Click Linux, which he is selling with his usual flair and understatement.

"Learn about Linux or get left behind," is the way he put it to Enterprise Linux News recently. IBM uses Linux. You don't get fired for following IBM.

my favorite quote from Miller, submitted for your approval. " Experienced IT managers tell me that the way to make a Linux move is not to use the word, Linux, at all. All they say is that the 'new system will be in on Monday.' Then the users come in Monday, and there it is, and you are ready to rock 'n' roll."

like is this is not just a book, but a book-CD-DVD combination. The CD has a point-and-click Linux called SimplyMEPIS Linux you can install immediately. The DVD has Miller doing simple tutorials.

not a product for most of the people who read this blog. You know this stuff already. It's for you to give as a gift to your friends who don't "get it" yet, the Windows maniacs who won't listen to your calm and reasoned arguments, the Windows-centric boss who won't read my calm-and-reasoned arguments. Not to mention the kids in your life who don't know from calm-and-reasoned arguments.

Christmas is over, but many cultures celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany with gifts, and that's tomorrow.

You've still got time.
