I was reminded of Monty Python's Vocational Guidance Counselor Sketchin researching Pogo Linux's 'Your Logo Here' plan at LinuxWorld.

The problem with selling software isn't delivering it. It's not even writing it. It's convincing someone to buy it. A loaded server and a vanity publishing set-up won't do that. What will do that is a great program, an intense marketing campaign, a lot of allies, and no small amount of luck.

The software market is no anteater. It's a huge, ferocious beastwith huge claws that will rip your bank account open quicker than you can sayJack Robinson.
