Here is a story that hasn't gotten much media love this week.

Novell will combine several products into a suite it says can replace Windows for a small business.

The bundle includes three server licenses for Suse Linux Enterprise Server, Novell Linux Desktop, GroupWise and eDirectory. The price is $475 for a five-user, three-server license, under $100/employee.

CEO Jack Messman is aiming this at technical shops which may already have Linux servers, not the general business market.

Our story on this, by Stephen Shankland, went out on Monday afternoon and, until this blog entry, had been linked to once. In the two days since that announcement fewer than 100 new links have been spotted by Technorati under the keywordNovell desktop Linux.
