  • I can't wait for the Zune HD!!!

It will be the best PMP by far. Thank goodness for MS. If it wasn't for them, there would be absolutely no innovation in the PMP market.

  • Next interview : Steve Ballmer ?

It would be sooooo surprising ! LOL

I think you've invented the Apple "stealth bashing" ! ;-)
It's really laughable to hear you talking about Apple with
Mr Kutz, a Microsoft strong believer who is certainly a
    model of objectivity?
And your link to Mr Calacanis blog and his Apple
monopoly "theory"?a lot of fun for true journalists!

Did i mention the way you promote so heavily Microsoft
    products ?

As the new Microsoft buddy of Zdnet, you're becoming
more and more predictable. But aren't you afraid about
being a new rival for Edd Bott or Mary Jo Foley ?

    • It's called Equal Time

I've given PLENTY of coverage to Linux and Open
Source on Frugal Tech Show and in this column
and in the 10+ years I've been covering the
Open Source software industry. Microsoft and
developers that produce software for the
Windows ecosystem deserves just as much
coverage as Linux does. If Red Hat or another
enterprise Open Source vendor wants to talk
with us about something by all means. We've
tried getting Sun to talk to us about their
Open Source projects but Oracle has put a
kibosh on all interviews until the acquisition
      completes.

Windows Server 2008 R2 is a MAJOR product
release. It's worthy for discussion in this
column and for my podcasts. Which,
incidentally, will have two more Microsoft
      shows coming up.

I would certainly also entertain an Apple guest
if their subject was relevant, however anything
Apple hardly qualifies as enterprise-class or
      money saving.

And by the way, I'm not a big fan of Socialism
and Anarchy either, Monsieur Proudhon. :)

      • Thanks for the reply but...

Is your podcast all about software ?
And your comments about the Zune HD ?
And the link to the Mr Calacanis blog ?

Maybe you know "that other guy" who also defends opensource :
        http://www.paulmc.org/whatithink/2008/07/03/richard-stallman-on-
        bill-gates/

So i'll be waiting for your next podcasts to confirm what i said about
        you...

        • I have no allegiance to one company or one software/system methodology

The podcast is about frugal uses of technology. That encompasses software or hardware. The Zune HD was announced this week and will be priced lower than the iPod Touch and will have features that the Touch does not. So I felt it was worthy of discussion.

I don't feel the need to pander to one side or the other. I enjoy and use both Microsoft and Open Source solutions. If Stallman wants to come on and talk to us or any other major Open Source project wants to speak about their stuff I'm not going to say no to them.

          • Don't Waste Your Time With Joe

Obviously nothing more than an Apple Worshipper. COMPLETE waste of time.
