A Romanian attacker known as TinKode has compromised a FTP server belonging to Goddard Space Flight Center, and has released a screenshot of the server as a proof. The files on it appear to be related to NASA’s SERVIR program.

The breach is confirmed by NASA’s Rob Gutro who said that “The necessary steps were taken to protect the infrastructure at that time” and that “NASA doesn’t discuss the details of our IT security but remains vigilant to secure the security of our sites.

The compromise comes after last month’s compromise of server belonging to the European Space Agency.

The attacker is also known to have previously compromised MySQL.com, Mod.uk, Water.weather.gov and Army.mil.
